| The cloch cosantach, an Irish stone of protection or defense, is a smooth, flat round stone with a hole in the center. These stones are millions of years old, and those that lie along the earth's magnetic fields, like those of Connemara marble, make extremely powerful amulets. If you can find one with a natural hole through the center, that is the best, although you can also have one drilled. Attach a leather thong to it and consecrate it on your altar. Visualize its protective powers. Wear it whenever you journey from home, and if anything looks or feels threatening to you, gaze at it through the hole in the stone. |
