Spell: Send a Message to the Dead

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Many Witches work intimately with the Beloved and Mighty Dead. Here is a spell that works with the wind to establish a connection with a particular person who has passed over.

Place a glass of fresh water and a white candle surrounded by a ring of angelica root in front of an image or a possession of this Beloved Dead. Ground and center and begin to enter trance in your way. Light the white candle and dedicate the water and the angelica root to the person. Listen and open with all your senses as you sincerely implore this spirit to contact you.

When you are ready, go to a window or door in the western part of your home, open it, and whistle through it into the air. Let the whistle channel the intention into the Otherworld and straight to the Beloved Dead. Repeat this over a series of nights.
