Spring has sprung perhaps, but endless days of rain can make us feel drained and blue. On a rainy day in April, try observing the weather and shifting your perspective.
Look out your window and notice as much as you can. Is it raining softly or is it pouring? Is it dark and cloudy or is there sunlight breaking through the clouds? Is it cold and windy? Now open your front door and smell the air, and put your hand out to feel the rain. Open yourself to this moment, attune your senses, and let the weather's power affect you; feel how it changes from moment to moment. As you go through your day, take note of your moods and energy, how they change like weather, too. You can use this mode of attunement with other kinds of weather as well, and heighten your sensitivity and awareness. |
