Mother's Day is a fine time to remember women as life givers, whether literally or metaphorically.
Prepare a small space in your garden, or fill a large pot or planter with planting mix. Plant a few small seeds (flowers or veggies) and water gently. Imagine the seeds resting in the warm soil, coming to life, and beginning to spout. Check them daily until you see sprouts emerge-as the moon waxes, this effect will be even stronger. Water as needed, watching as the plants take on vigor and begin to grow. To encourage the young plants, offer small bits of organic plant food, sprinkle with dried chamomile or thyme, or set small agates near them. Offer thanks: "Great Gaia, life giver, mother of all. As you grace the spark of life in these young plants, Guide my nurturing. See that these plants grow strong and vital. And remind me of the responsibilities involved In being a bringer of life." |
