Spell: A Mighty Dead Offering

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today we mark the passing of Gerald Gardner (1884–1964), the father of Wicca, and ask his spirit for guidance and blessing as one of the Mighty Dead.

For this spell you will need these materials:
* An image of Gerald Gardner
* A black candle and holder
* Some anointing oil for the Mighty Dead (such as that which contains anise)
* An offering bowl and cup
* A food item and beverage of your choosing

Arrange your altar with the image in the center. Dress the candle (rub the oil on it) and empower it for the Mighty Dead, then place in the holder before the photo. Before all of this place the empty offering bowl and cup.

Ground and center. Focus on the photo. Light the candle. Say:

"Gerald Gardner of the Mighty Dead,
Accept this offering and
strengthen the thread:
The lineage of the magic blood
That guides me on the witch's road."

Place your offerings in the bowl and cup and share in the "feast."
