Spell: Juneteenth Affirmation for Compassion

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

On Juneteenth in the United States, we commemorate the emancipation of African American slaves. Today, spread compassion by word and deed. There is still much pain and suffering in the world. Participate in a community service project or make a donation to charity today. Do what you can to spread compassion and love.

Light a candle today for the sorrow of the past and present and for hope for the future. Chant these words over the candle:

May the light from this flame fill

the world with compassion.

May understanding and love

inspire all of our actions.

Allow the candle to burn out.
