When we cleanse and charge our magickal tools, we often focus on the ones we use the most. But what about the other tools we use? For instance, maybe there’s a special kitchen knife you use in your spellwork, or perhaps you have a statue where you leave offerings. The rarity of a blue moon is a good time to think about those other tools and give them a jolt of lunar energy. Start by thinking about some of the more nontraditional and overlooked tools you use in your spellwork. Gather those up and place them on a clean cloth either outside (if the weather is nice) or inside near a window with access to moonlight. As you lay out your items, speak over them with the intention that the moon will cleanse and charge them for your upcoming magical workings: Fill this tool (or item) up with lunar energy and the first stirrings of autumn. So mote it be! Leave your items in the light of the moon until morning. |
