Stan Romanek on ABC
Tonight, Stan Romanek (the author of Messages) will be on ABC’s Primetime Outsiders. I’ve blogged in past about the paranormal reaching further and further into the mainstream, so for me this is a clincher.
Since Stan is one of our authors, many of my colleagues have worked closely with him. Several have reported odd experiences (including random lights in a hotel room at 2am and phone calls from an automated recording that show up on caller ID as a friend or acquaintance) after spending more than a few hours with Stan. While I myself have only met Stan once and (thankfully, I think!) not had any strange encounters of my own, I know that these stories are coming from well-grounded people. I’m apt to believe them.
Though his book and story have already been embraced by thousands, I still wonder: now that this extremely well-documented case is going to be broadcast on national television, what will the response be? I’m excited, and waiting with baited breath. How will the story be presented? Will it be biased, in favor of alien encounters or against them? Will it address conspiracy theories? What will the public think?
I guess I’ll just have to continue holding tight until tonight, now won’t I?
The episode is scheduled to air tonight on ABC at 10pm ET, and more information about Stan and his story can be found at ABC’s website.
