While browsing the VolumeOne website, a blog entry alerted me to this website. How cool is this? Being a Wisconsin native and current resident, I immediately had to check all the counties where I’ve lived or spent time. I grew up on a county line road so I claim to be a native of Dunn and Barron County. [Seriously; our mailbox across the road was in a different county from the rest of our farm. Sometimes when fetching the mail I would stop in the middle of the road and say “I’m in two counties at the same time!” Please don’t ever try this at home.]  I have a vague recollection about some of the sightings in Rice Lake, and I definitely remember reading about the recent sighting near Cumberland. I went to college in Eau Claire and there were a few sightings there and in the area during my four years at UWEC, although I don’t recall hearing about any of them. I was more in tune to my haunted apartment building that will be covered in a later post.  I currently live a few towns over from Elmwood, which is the UFO Capital of Wisconsin and hosts an annual UFO Days celebration. I drove through town two years ago during that weekend on the way to a bike trail and it looked like a lot of fun! I will have to make a point to attend a future UFO Days celebration.

Even if you’re not from Wisconsin or have never been there, I hope you check out the website and have fun reading all the different accounts by county.
