Podcast With Me Now Available
Thanks to the miracle of podcasting, wherever you are in the world you can tune in and hear me interviewed on a wide variety of magickal topics. Interestingly, this blog is on servers based out of Minnesota, I’m in California, and the interviewers were in England. (Well, I found it interesting.)
The podcast is episode 32 of a program called “Right Where You are Sitting Now.” On the website it says:
“We continue our occult exploration this week with seminal author Donald Michael Kraig. Donald is the author of the best-selling titles: Modern Magick and Modern Sex Magick, and has recently authored his first novel, The Resurrection Murders. This is our longest interview to date, kept at its almost full original length because we enjoyed Don’s company so much.
“This week we discuss: Being a ‘modern magician,’ Sex Magick, Tantra, Initiatory Orders, Occult novels, secret rituals of certain orders, how a magical order should survive the information age, and much more.”

Fantastic podcast!
I found the story about your first three Tarot books pretty entertaining. That’s exactly where I am now; I want to learn the Tarot, and therefore I am equally interested in learning the Qabbalah. The story of how Modern Magick came about is also very interesting, and I remember reading about that same story in your November 1999 interview with The Wiccan/Pagan Times. That site has great interviews! I enjoyed hearing about the layout and logical order of Modern Magick, and how it corresponds with the beginning lessons of the Golden Dawn. It is apparent to me that I need to look more into Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
The discussion about the importance of imagination was illuminating. The imagination is the instrument of creation on the non-physical planes, while the will is used to drive that process. I was paying close attention to that section.
Something that really stuck out for me and that helped a lot was your discussion of not having to join a magickal group in order to be able to tap into a magickal current. That’s great news! You’re completely right: some people really can’t make regular meetings (myself included) for one reason or another. I think it’s great that with persistence I can tap into those powerful magickal currents and be a successful magician. Thank you for the encouragement.
