Do you use seasonally-themed cards, either for yourself, for your clients, or for readings at parties? If so, and if you are looking for something new for Valentine’s Day readings, you might be interested in this new deck from Lo Scarabeo. The Heart Tarot images focus on love and relationships. Even better: the cards are heart-shaped.
For those of you who are familiar with Lo Scarabeo decks, you know that they are generally not RWS clones. They are innovative and unique. Because of that, it sometimes takes a little time to master a deck. But what if you just get your hands on a deck and want to use it sooner? I have an idea!
Usually in Lo Scarabeo decks, the major arcana cards are easily recognizable and stick to what we think of as the traditional interpretations. So, until you have time to master the minor arcana cards, use just the majors.
If you do not wish to do a reading using just majors, either pick one position in the spread you are using and draw a card from the majors; then use a deck you are more familiar with for the rest of the positions. Another idea is do the reading with one of your usual decks and then at the end have the seeker pull one card from the majors as a special message from the universe or a final piece of advice.
These are adorable! I love the heart shapes!
I have a few seasonal decks but I don’t use them at all.
This are fab! Gotta have um … gotta have um.
I love them . . . they are so quirky!
Yes, I have a number of seasonal and themed decks and yes, I do use them. The Halloween Tarot is a particular favourite and often requested for readings. And it’s fun 🙂
Thanks for sharing this.

Honestly the Heart Deck does not due a thing for me.
Lo Scarebo’ Witchy Tarot comes to mind however, lots of lovely stuff in there; as it is a deck for young women really, some very romantic images.
And yes it takes a few readings to wrap ones head around this deck too, but if I might suggest, I would say when starting out one might use the deck as a pips deck. Read the Trumps, as is, but read the minors, and the Courts as per a Waite Deck. If one wishes to try that … personally I have always just read from the art right away, and I think this gets best results.
Blessings, BB.
