I’m 28, from Atl, GA and someone who’s always been consistently interested in the deep matters openly discussed in Growing Up Psychic. I found many similarities with my life and attitude. For example the day I read about glasses falling out of the cabinet into someone’s hand, it happened. And it was just the day before I found out my Aunt had died, who I was once close with especially in my younger years. I don’t know any people who will talk to me for very long without shutting down about Ghosts or Crazy Dreams. Even my philisophical, similarly open-minded twin Brother is still as much of a skeptic than a believer and never wants to dwell on the subjects, fearing we might openly invite extra “Weird Stuff.” I think he’s right about that. I don’t have any real gifts, but my dreams are “something else” and I was recording them and all the strange things that would happen around the house. The list kept growing and growing so I stopped with that and let whatever happens happen. Most importantly I stay unafraid and trust in God for help and protection.I watched all the new shows and checked out every book I could (short of the Encyclopedia of Witchcraft) just to learn more and more about the unknown which I’m passionately fascinated by. Anyway, Sylvia Browne, James Van Prague, ok, ok. But Michael Bodine, sincerely, thank you for telling your story. Anyone who watches Ghost Adventures or Paranormal State need to calm their minds about these things which are desired to scare the hell out of people late at night. Anyone who is interested in these subjects should find this book. (I was actually strangely lead into a library I don’t usuaully go into knowing I would get a psychic book and telling myself I would just look for one on Astrology.) I’m glad it turned out I found this crisp, never-read copy of Growing Up Psychic. Though hard to believe, Echo’s loving foreward ended up coming out to be true for me. Michael’s voice was more than just cool and funny and I won’t need to look in that section in the library any time soon. I got what I needed for now, to be stronger and find acceptance in the lessons which all our lives bring. Thank you again.
