For many years I lived in the San Diego area. It was while living in Encinitas, part of the North County area of San Diego, that I began teaching classes on occultism and magick, and where I learned Oriental Massage. Later, I moved to the city itself, sharing an apartment with Scott Cunningham. It was while I was there that I took all of my notes and experience from the classes I taught and wrote Modern Magick. As part of my thanks to the people in the community, I am returning to San Diego this coming Saturday, the 11th of September, to participate in the San Diego Pagan Pride Day event.
