Full Moon in Aries October 22, 2010
This full moon in Aries occurs on October 22 9:36 pm EDT (1:36 am October 23, GMT). Full moons are the completion of that which was begun during the new moon (in this case, the October 7 new moon in Libra that focused on relationships of all kinds). This is the second full moon in Aries (the first being the Aries full moon on September 23).
This full moon is about having the courage to push forward, being at the 29th degree, the degree of fruition and completion (and with the Sun at 29 degrees Libra opposite the Moon at 29 degrees Aries). Having just come out of a period of focus on relationships (the new moon in Aries on October 7), now the focus shifts inward to the self and what we need personally. Both the Sun and Moon are aspected positively by Chiron (the healer), so this could well be a time when this personal focus is one of healing, of pushing past old hurts toward new health. Be careful, however, not to put this transformation and “selfish” thoughts ahead of everything; Mars is square both Chiron and Neptune, which could wreak havoc within the interpersonal relationships you’ve just worked so hard on during the past few weeks.
