A Little More Charm, Please

This time of year always seems so magical to me. Also it is a rather social time, so I thought this tarot spell for projecting charm would be as useful to you as it is for me. Also, it includes The Star card, which seems to be a favorite during the holidays. It’s from Janina Renee’s Tarot Spells.  You can use any deck you like for this.

In this spell, the qualities of the Star, found within the individual, are radiated outward. These qualities include charisma, charm, grace, beauty, poise, inspiration, and magic. The Magician stands for the ability to channel and radiate these qualities.

If you wish to use accessories for this spell, gold or silver candles, crystals and gemstones, metals, flowers, and cloth may be used. Both gold and silver represent radiance. Gold, which is solar, would be appropriate for a more outgoing, gregarious type of personality, whereas silver, the lunar color, would represent a more subtle charm. If possible, set mirrors up around the edge of your arrangement of cards and other accessories so that multiple images will be reflected. To set the mood for this spell, it will also be helpful to wear clothes, jewelry, and fragrance that are especially flattering to you and make you feel “magical.”

The ritual for this spell can be performed anytime, though you may especially want to perform if just before a special event when you will be meeting lots of people whom you would like to impress

Meditation and Visualization

First, lay down the significator, the cards which you have chosen to represent you. Visualize yourself standing amid a sea of stars. As you focus on your visualization, picture yourself looking more and more like your ideal self—sparkling and radiant.

Next, set down the Magician. Standing before your card layout, reach out your arms and make a wide, circular motion in front of you with your hands, at the same time visualize yourself as a powerful sorcerer or sorceress. Feel a great magical energy pulsing within you, coursing through your body, and expanding outward, creating a magically magnetic field around you. Imagine that this magical energy is causing more stars to blaze in the sky around you and a garden of flowers to spring into bloom at your feet.

Finally, set the Star in position. Know that the glow of the energy within you has become so expansive that it will continue to radiate and will reach out to touch and dazzle everyone you meet.

After you have finished meditating on the cards and visualizations, carefully, and with as much feeling as you can, recite the following affirmation:

Magic flow through me

And beauty shines from me.

Magic and beauty

I weave around me.

Every person that I encounter

Feels the compelling charm

And sees the radiant glow

That shines about me like a star.

So it is and so it shall be!
