Travels of a Wizard—Part 7
It was a long, very hot day, today. I mean it was so hot the state issued “heat warnings” for people to stay where it was cool. The state, Minnesota, had political issues resulting in closing down all non-essential tasks. Streets buckled from the heat, and nobody is going to repair them.
I took the tourista solution for the heat and went to the ultimate place to buy garbage, the Mall of America. I lived in Minnesota when they were building it and everyone called it the “Mega Mall.” I was looking to see if there were any unique shops there.
Nope.
Not only were the shops the same as in any other mall, the place is so big some of the chains had more than one store in the place. Well, owners of the mega mall, thanks for the barely adequate air conditioning.
I went over to Magus books, a delightful store in Minneapolis. Eventually we had a small crowd and I gave a brief talk and did (of course) a book signing. During the middle of my talk there was a huge thunderstorm and the heat quickly dissipated, dropping 25 degrees.
Saturday morning, July 2, at 10:00 a.m., I’ll be giving a workshop on “Magick for the Future” at Magus books. I hope to see you there!
