This Full Moon in Scorpio will occur Saturday, May 5 at 11:35 pm Eastern (3:35 am, Sunday, May 6, GMT) at 16 degrees. Full Moons represent the culmination of those things that were begun with the New Moon (in this case the April 21 New Moon in Taurus, which found us focusing on our financial stability and personal outlook toward home and our material things.

The Scorpio Full Moon opposes the Sun in Taurus; we are reminded to check ourselves in the progress we made towards our goals set during the Taurus New Moon. How are we balancing our personal finances? Are goals of monetary stability starting to come to fruition? Now is the time to face anything you may have been avoiding, those things that hide in the dark (Scorpio). Both Scorpio and Taurus are fixed signs, and are stubborn and grounded; owning up to yourself and your goals is a must.

Additionally, this Full Moon is a “Super Moon,” meaning that its orbital perigee will be closest to Earth of any this year. The Full Moon will appear larger in the sky than do other Full Moons, so enjoy the spectacular sight!
