Turning Chaos into Order Ritual
Tarot by the Moon by Victoria Constantino
Tarot by the Moon is a wonderful new book by a new Llewellyn author, Victoria Constantino. Tarot readers often pay attention to the energies of the world, including the Moon. In this book, Victoria gives us moon lore, spreads, spells, and rituals for each month. In addition, helpful tarot tips are sprinkled throughout.
Enjoy these excerpts from the chapter on July: The Buck Moon
In the month of July, we can witness new antlers sprouting from the heads of bucks running wild through the forest, lending this month’s moon its name, The Buck Moon. July’s moon is also referred to as the Thunder Moon, the Hay Moon, or the Wort Moon.
The Buck Moon tarot spreads included in this chapter examine what is developing, how to embrace what is emerging, nurturing new situations and developments, gaining control over unruly situations, and where you need to let go.
The spells and rituals in this chapter include awakening gifts and talents, reining in chaotic energies and situations to harness them into something ordered and stable, an energy healing ritual, and a thistle protection spell.
Turning Chaos into Order
Best begun on a Wednesday or Saturday during a waxing moon
What You Need:
- A variety of items representing the chaotic situation you are experiencing, such as photos and physical objects
- Black tourmaline
- Tiger’s eye
- Your significator card
This ritual is ideal if you are experiencing something chaotic in your life that needs reigning in; it works for any situation or circumstance that you want to transform so it is more organized and stable.
First, cleanse the items you have gathered with the method of your choosing; set these up in a random order on your altar or workspace to symbolize their current state. Because you will be leaving them there until the situation changes, it is best if you put them in a place that you will see often, that you will not need to use for anything else, and that will remain undisturbed by children or pets; you should avoid moving them for as long as they are there, which will be until the situation stabilizes in the manner you will set forth here.
Place the cleansed and charged crystals on your significator card, symbolizing the infusion of grounding and clarity that is taking place for you during this ritual. Cast a circle if you wish and call in any allies, asking for their assistance with the stabilization of the matter at hand.
Turn your attention to the items you have chosen to symbolize your current situation. These may include photographs of the person or people involved, images cut out from magazines that represent the various components, and objects such as house keys that are directly connected to the situation. Arrange the items symbolically in a way that represents how you would like things to be. For instance, you may want to organize them in rows, or place them on or next to one another in a way that signifies the projected outcome (a house key could go on top of a picture of a person, which could be placed on a photo of a house, and so on). Once this is done, say three times while focusing on the new outcome you are envisioning:
What was not working
Now is fixed
Where chaos was
Now structure reigns
Order and stability
Balance and solidity
Brings forth happy outcomes
All is stable
All is well
So it is
And blessed be
You can add specific wording to the above incantation that reflects how you want to see the circumstances change. Leave the layout where it is until the situation has changed as you envisioned it. When you receive the desired results, give thanks to your allies.
