Be the Witch You Want to See in the World
Readers, please enjoy this guest blog post by Phoenix LeFae, author of What Is Remembered Lives, Walking in Beauty, Life Ritualized, and the new Witches, Heretics & Warrior Women.
Witchcraft and the practice of magick are a source of power. When we harness this power, it can transform our lives. In the modern world, we spend a ridiculous amount of time looking outside of ourselves and placing judgment on our own lives. We get caught up in the standards of others, and this leads to forgetting how truly powerful and important we are. Rather than looking at others’ social media accounts, curated photos, and perfectly worded posts, be the Witch you want to see in the world.
There’s some intense information I have to tell you. Ready for it? There will only be one of you in all of time. That’s it, just you. How amazing is that? And the only job you have during this one precious life is to be the best you that you possibly can. No one else is going to do it. Knowing that, it is important that you be the best you. The world needs you to do it.
Being the best you and shining as brightly as you can is an act of rebellion. The over-culture wants people to stay small and stick to the status quo. But Witches know there is more to life than that. The status quo might be safe and comfortable, but it is a cage filled with lies. Sticking to the status quo makes it easy to be small, diminished, and hidden.
That time is over. Now is the time to be the Witch you want to see in the world. Being a Witch means not living up to someone else’s standards. Being a Witch is being you in all the glory you can hold. You were not born to play it small. You are a radical shining star and to be a Witch you need to fully be you.
Being a Witch means being brave. Being brave enough to be you is a heretical act, it is living life as a Witch. So be bold, be you, and live your life to the fullest.
