Discover the Healing Power of Reiki
Ten years ago it would have been hard to find information about Reiki, but now it’s a practice that’s becoming popularly featured in spas and is even available at some hospitals and health care centers! So what is this thing called “Reiki” that’s quietly been making its way into the mainstream world?
I was first introduced to Reiki in 2003 when I intuitively started doing energy work on a sick pet. Baffled by the experience I started researching. Reiki was the first energy healing modality that I discovered and so the learning began! While I’ve been practicing sporadically for the past nine years, I still find it hard to describe exactly what Reiki is. Unlike something as tangible as massage or other practices that involve physical manipulation, Reiki works at the energetic level. As we develop knots in our muscles that are relieved by massage, we also develop energetic “knots” or blocks that can be remedied through energy work such as Reiki. But trained in a “prove it to me” world, defining something that is more effectively felt can be frustrating to haven to describe!
While words often fail me in trying to express the power of this practice, Raven Keyes is not short of words! In her new book, The Healing Power of Reiki, she expertly describes what Reiki is, how it works, and how she has been a witness time and time again to the awesome results of this energetic therapy. From working alongside Dr. Oz during surgery, demonstrating the benefits with professional athletes in the NFL and NBA, sharing with the workers at Ground Zero and so much more, Raven shows Reiki is a power that matches even the overwhelming modern day needs of our world.

Angela,
I beleive what you are experiencing and describing can be explained by mathematics. If you look at waves as they approach a beach they become progressively closer until they reach a break point and crash on the beach. If you look at human beings and the time we spent between the advent of fire an the rgricultural revolution it is millions of years. Agriculture to Industrial revolution is 1000’s to 100’s of years and Industry to technology is in the decades. Now information is happening so fast we are communicating instantaneously.
Medicine and healing dont happen in a vaccuum. Healing is now happening in what Dossey would call a nonlocal manner. It is instantaneous or simultaneous without regard to place and distance. I beleive you finding Reiki is simply nature’s way of speeding up this process until we all reach a state where healing occurs through energetic channels rather than with antiobiotics and surgery. As we evolve from one era of medicine to another there needs to be an overlap and so we need to have Reiki and mind body therapies side by side, bu the medical materialists are holding tight to their dogma. Hopefully publishers like Llewellyn will continue to push the boundaries. Maybe even with a book on this theory I’ve discussed here, hint.
