Recently one of my friends on Facebook commented that some tarot decks are like dessert and some are like the main course. That might explain a lot about why I like certain decks. If you were to read my Facebook page, you’d see equal posts about cookies, cakes, and cupcakes that I am baking as about tarot talk.

So, I think of this deck, the Tarot of the Magical Forest, as a box of bon bons, meaning a wonderful box of fancy, lovely, delightful, charming surprises that I love and make me feel good. This time of year, I do indulge in quite a lot of bon bon-esque treats.

I am not sure why the 4 of Pentacles makes me smile. Oh, wait. I do know. It reminds me of me in this picture. Eating a small pie at a fiber festival. All of it. Sigh.

And we end again with a sweet sheep with an equally sweet lion in the Strength card. What is more fitting than the lion and lamb cuddling together? In this image, it does not seem as if one is overpowering or controlling the other. Indeed, they seem to be feeling nothing but affection.
