Author Poppy Palin Has Passed
Today we sadly mark the passing of author Poppy Palin, who authored and illustrated several books and tarot decks, including Wild Spirit Tarot, the Everyday Enchantment Tarot, and The Craft of the Wild Witch.
She was a qualified and experienced artist and teacher who used her trained illustrative skills to enhance her own work and that of others. Poppy was also an experienced tattoo artist who specialized in one-off pieces to commemorate rites of passage.
Her knowledge will live on in her books and decks, and through the countless people she enlightened with her work.

PLEASE! PLEASE! Help show that all of Poppy’s superb talented artwork was worthwhile by printing The Wild Spirit Tarot and book for us all to purchase and cherish. Help to let her know she was loved and cared for after all. Her artwork meant the world to her and she wanted others to enjoy them too.
This is so heartbreaking. I wish she had understood how loved she was and how influential. Please highly consider reprinting her gorgeous deck Waking the Wild Spirit. Many of us never had the opportunity to buy it and I feel it represents her personality and beliefs at the best of times. It would be a beautiful tribute in her memory. RIP Poppy.
This is just heartbreaking. Hoping you will re-release her Walking the Wild Spirit Tarot and guidebook. Her artwork just draws you into that world. It deserves to be seen, loved and appreciated by all of us who will miss her and those in the future who discover what a wonderful artist and person she was.
I only wish she had realized how many of us loved her.

This is heartbreaking news. Poppy will be missed by many, not only for her writing talent and her artistry, but also for her gentle and compassionate soul. Please consider re-releasing her Waking the Wild Spirit tarot deck and guidebook. She was planning to rework this deck just before she passed, but sadly it was not to be. But it indicates that the Waking the Wild Spirit deck was still important to her, and her friends in the Tarot community would love to see it made available again.
Would love to see a re release of waking the wild spirit tarot and I hope it includes the extra cards (17 of them I think) that she had recently re drawn. This would make a nice collectors set giving a bit extra to all those who also have the original deck. I love the old deck but the re drawn cards are so much better So sad she has gone. She had great influence and for the better on me.
I agree with all previous commenters, Waking the wild spirit has really made and impression on me and I would love to be able to honor Poppy’s memory by working with this deck. It is a beautiful and unique deck that I really hope you will consider reprinting in her honor.
