I’ll be at Isis Books & Gifts. I’ll be giving a free talk and book signing (4:30 p.m.)  followed by a workshop (6:00 p.m) on 21st Century Magick.

An intensive study of the roots of ceremonial magick and how it is performed today. Participants will learn pronunciation, numerous rituals and how to design their own rituals. Topics will include talismans and amulets, the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, the Hexagram Ritual, psychic self-defense and much more.  Focusing on methods and practice, we will also discuss where ceremonial magick and Wiccan magickal practice merge and converge as well as what forms of magick people will be doing in the future, including  the basics of three new powerful magickal systems—NLP, Chaos Magick, and Postmodern Magick—systems that people are using today to make changes in their lives and how you can use them to empower your magickal abilities.

I’ll be at Magus Books again. Come early for a workshop (10:00 a.m.) on Magick for the Future.

There are three powerful magickal methodologies that seem to be trends for magick. In this workshop Donald Michael Kraig will explaining them and give examples participants can experience. The first system is NLP—Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Most people think this is some sort of new age therapy. Indeed, its many techniques can be used therapeutically, but there are many other purposes for it. One of the originators called it an “Art and Science,” a definition also used by Alester Crowley to describe magick. The first two books on NLP were actually titled The Structure of Magic (volumes I and II). In this section we’ll see how to use your inner time line to change your future. The second system is Chaos Magick. Lots of people talk about it but few people really understand the basic concept of this un-system system. People will get an in-depth idea of it here, including two Chaos magick banishing methods, a system to charge a talisman, and more. Finally, the third style of magick is Postmodern Magick as described in the books of Patrick Dunn. His system combines the latest theories of computers, symbolism, and linguistics that are as radically different as those who consider spirits to be a part of our psyches are different from those who believe spirits are external entities independent of us. You’ll learn how to use Postmodern Magickal techniques to enhance the evocation of spirits.

Once again I’ll be at the delightful shop, The Green Man. This time (2:00 p.m.) I’ll be giving a workshop called Tantra: It’s Not What You Think!

Tantra is far more than the “yoga of sex” as some self-styled and ill-educated Tantric “experts” have claimed. It is a complete system of spirituality, as complete as the complexities of the Kabalah and as direct and straightforward as any of the numerous Neopagan systems popular today. In this class you will discover the “other side” of Tantra, the 98 per cent that does not deal with sexuality. Topics will include opening the senses, crazy wisdom, meditation, breath, magick and much more. Open to all people.
