The Magical Buffet is one of our favorite magical blogs – besides merely reviewing books, blogger Rebecca Elson also does in-depth author interviews, profiles on musicians, and articles dealing with “religion, the paranormal, First Amendment issues, popular culture, magical practices, and whatever else is on Rebecca’s mind at any given moment.” (Not to mention that she’s a sweet gal.) Woo-hoo! Another new book has hit the Llewellyn warehouse and my desk! It’s a new and super-useful book chock full of spells (and cats) by Deborah Blake, Everyday Witch A to Z Spellbook: Wonderfully Witchy Blessings, Charms & Spells. As indicated by the title, spells are arranged alphabetically and cover the gamut from Abstinence to Zzzzz’s. (Interesting how both of those are about sleeping through the night… hee hee.) I thought I’d share a spell with you today, so I chose the spell for flying, since I’ll be flying to St. Louis tomorrow to attend the St. Louis Pagan Picnic with another wonderful author, Ellen Dugan. Slated for publication in 2011, I’m currently working on books on crafting your own magical candles (winter release), your own wands (summer release), and lots of other fun projects for magical home décor and beauty (fall release). Plus, there are more proposals on their way for 2012…a book on making your own ritual tools, a book on making your own incense, and more.
