It was a long, very hot day, today. I mean it was so hot the state issued "heat warnings" for people to stay where it was cool. The state, Minnesota, had political issues resulting in closing down all non-essential tasks. Streets buckled from the heat, and nobody is going to repair them. I took the tourista solution for the heat and went to the ultimate place to buy garbage, the Mall of America. I lived in Minnesota when they were building it and everyone called it the "Mega Mall." I was looking to see if there were any unique shops there. Nope. Not only were the shops the same as in any other mall, the place is so big some of the chains had more than one store in the place. So much has been happening this summer, it’s hard to keep up! But I wanted to share some good news and a few links regarding some of the authors I work with. First of all, the big news was that one of my favorite witchy authors here, Deborah Blake, won the COVR award (that’s Coalition of Visionary Resources – not the cover of the book!) in the Wicca / Paganism category for Witchcraft on a Shoestring. This is her fifth book with us, and in it Deborah gives advice on practicing the craft without breaking the bank.
