As readers may know, I supply some of the writing for Llewellyn's New Worlds of Mind and Spirit. I just finished my work for an upcoming issue and I can tell you that we have some excellent new books that will be coming out soon. But that's not why I'm writing this post. Every couple of months, when I finish my work for New Worlds, I immediately move into "Encyclopedia Mode." I'll be working on adding new entries for our free, on-line encyclopedia. We want to make it the best metaphysical/occult/new age encyclopedia on the web. For that to happen, I'm requesting the help of you, the readers of this blog. Please take a look at the encyclopedia. Chicago is wildly haunted with ghosts from the city's past. Below are some of the interesting homes of some of the city's early settlers, gangsters, and other restless souls. Harpo Studios In 1915, the Lake Michigan  steamship the Eastland sank abruptly in the Chicago River just after departure (ballast compartments had been emptied so that more passengers could be boarded). Over 800 passengers, including over 20 entire families, were killed. The corpses were brought to the 2nd Regiment Armory until they were identified and released to the families. In my previous post I described the concept of debunking the debunkers. How is this related to magick? Most debunkers don't call themselves that. Rather, they call themselves "skeptics." For over half a century, FATE magazine has continued to explore the paranormal. I'm very proud to say that for three years following Llewellyn's purchase of the magazine, I was the editor-in-chief of FATE. I like to think I helped modernize it while keeping to its traditions. During my tenure, and thanks to those people working with me, circulation more than tripled. FATE prides itself on presenting true reports of the paranormal.
