William Frankland was a British astrologer who was active in London during the period between the two World Wars. Disillusioned with the inability to traditional predictive methods to consistently and reliably identify major life events, he pioneered several symbolic directive techniques. The most well-known of these are the "Point of Life" based on Alan Leo's study of the orbit of Uranus and the "Age along the Zodiac," which converts the native's age to ecliptic degrees and projects them from the Aries Point, based on ° Aries
