If you've been following this blog, you will have noticed that I didn't post yesterday. I spent most of the day traveling. From Denver through Nebraska and Iowa into Minnesota.
When I traveled through Arizona, Utah and Colorado, there were beautiful, vast spaces surrounded by mountains. It was breathtaking. As I moved further north there were also large open spaces, many irrigated and growing crops or having small herds of cows. But it was flat. It just went on and on. Long sections of the freeway were seemingly designed with a straight edge.
It's just so...flat.
