Spell: Howling at the Moon

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day start this month off with a bang—one of the biggest and showiest bursts of energy of the entire year. Here we are today almost at the end of January. You may be wondering what there’s left to do in your spiritual practice. Well, there’s plenty!

We are at the gibbous moon phase of Wolf Moon (the first full moon in January). What an excellent time for replenishing the soul. This is the day for building on the new energies around you and purging what you don’t need. Try this:

Go outside tonight and turn your eyes up toward the darkened sky.

Howl three times, each time thinking of what you wish to give up. Imagine yourself surrendering the useless aspects of your life to the universe as you howl.

Focus on Wolf Moon and howl for each of the three things you are releasing back into the universe.
