About the Cards in Your Reading

Nine of Shields
In the Past position
Nine of Shields
A card in the left position indicates what has happened to affect your question in the past.

Meaning: You may feel restrained or a victim of your own success. Perhaps you long for the simpler things in life, the beauty and wonder of the natural world. What did you sacrifice to get to this point? What compromises and choices did you make? Have your needs inadvertently injured others? Like the eagle that flies from the hand of the lady, perhaps you also long to fly free. You are self-sufficient and able to rely on your own resourcefulness. You have identified what is really important in your life and are able to act upon it.

Knight of Swords
In the Present position
Knight of Swords
A card in the middle position indicates what is affecting your question at this time.

Meaning: This is a person who is immature of thought and reacts foolishly. He is impulsive and rushes in to things without using wisdom and understanding. This is a skilled individual who expresses courage and bravery, but they are based on unbalanced principles. On a social level this is a card that indicates physical destruction and war. Within smaller social circles it can indicate that a project or idea is being opposed. This personality type receives sadistic gratification from encouraging enmity. If some of the other most dreadful cards surround it in a reading, it may well indicate a physical death.

Four of Cauldrons
In the Future position
Four of Cauldrons
A card in the right position indicates your questions future.

Meaning: Here we really do have someone who is stuck in a rut. The crisis of the heart has yet to come, but we see a tantalizing glimpse of potential crisis here. You may have achieved a lot—in fact, you may have achieved an awful lot—but why the apathy? Sometimes it really is better the devil you know, but believe me, living in a habitual cycle of repetition for fear of change is not beneficial. There are other possibilities right there beside you, if only you could see them. There are three significant things in your life or surrounding the question, and the focus is so intently on them that the cauldron of inspiration cannot be perceived, but it needs to be noticed and taken from the ethereal hand that is offering it. Don't carry on as you are just because of apathy—take the cauldron!
