About the Cards in Your Reading

The Tower
In the Past position
The Tower
A card in the left position indicates what has happened to affect your question in the past.

Meaning: The Tower is emotive, and it is perhaps one of the least understood cards of the Major Arcana. Its appearance can be jarring and a little shocking but pertinent. Sometimes for things to get back on their feet foundations need to be rocked, and if they are weak the building above will collapse. For new ground to be made, the old must be destroyed; inevitably, a great change is coming. Clearing away the debris of a situation is healing in itself. Do not fear the change, but instead take an active hand in embracing it. Surely this situation can't go on in the manner it has endured. The Tower is the harbinger of change, but this is not to suggest that the change will be positive or negative; it could be either. Look to the cards that surround it for clues to the nature of the coming change. On the other hand, an intolerable situation is on the verge of critical mass; release is imminent. The question is, do you welcome or fear it?

Queen of Swords
In the Present position
Queen of Swords
A card in the middle position indicates what is affecting your question at this time.

Meaning: This is a strong feminine influence that initially may appear devoid of emotion. She may appear sullen, detached, and brooding. She is strong willed yet keeps her heart guarded, no doubt because of past pain, separation, or sorrow. This is a person who will not take prisoners or suffer fools gladly. Whilst she is not a particularly warm person, her strength and grace are a lesson. She will treat people kindly and fairly but will not gush with emotion. She teaches you to find your own inner strength and to be independent in your thinking. Foster your injuries into strengths.

Eight of Cauldrons
In the Future position
Eight of Cauldrons
A card in the right position indicates your questions future.

Meaning: Your successes are apparent, and you seem on the surface to be happy with your lot. Others may think you have it all, and some may long to have what they perceive you possess, but things are rarely that simple. The situation is stable, but to an extent you feel like you are at a dead end. Your heart is not full. Your instincts are telling you to get up and leave whilst the going is good. There is no shame in this. You must stop and consider what brings to your heart a sense of joy and happiness, albeit others may judge you to be selfish. The journey ahead may be an uphill struggle, but you are doing the right thing.
