The Sky is the Limit by Llewellyn George

"The Sky is the Limit" was a small booklet written by Llewellyn George as an "inexpensive book to correct common misconceptions of Astrology by revealing facts concerning its values." He opens with a quote from the famous 20th century author, educator and clergyman, Henry Van Dyke: "the highest of all learning is the knowledge of the stars. To trace their course is to untangle the threads of the mystery of life from the beginning to the end. If we could follow them perfectly, nothing would be hidden from us."

Llewellyn George quotes freely from famous writers and philosophers, as well as the Bible, in support of his view that the real purpose and value of Astrology is to help us improve our manifestation of life. He shows its values in the practices of criminology, agriculture, poultry farming, surgery, dental practice, business, construction, etc., and explains its basic principles simply and concisely. He includes basic information for each of the birth signs and their planetary rulers, information on planets, houses and signs, planetary hours, comets, and such common information as how the days of the week were named.

Llewellyn George revealed much of his own philosophy as he answered the question: Is Astrology Science or Religion? "To me, Astrology is a universal religion and a science-in-the-making." He went on to write: "Astrology is the connecting link between the Human and the Divine. It is a spiritual science couched in finite terms for the understanding of mortals struggling toward the light of a better day," and quotes Dante – Follow but thy star; thou canst not miss at last a glorious heaven.
