On an astrologicalhoroscope, the "angles" are the lines formed by the ascendant (0 degrees), the I.C. (Latin for Imum Coeli, "bottom of the sky," at 90 degrees), the descendant (180 degrees), and midheaven (270 degrees). These are considered to be important points in a chart and are said to represent Cardinal qualities.
