Term: Chimera

DEFINITION:

Ancient Greek mythological fire-breathing monster. It is most often described as a lion with a goat coming out of its back and a tail that ended in a snake’s head, other descriptions have different versions. Usually considered a female, seeing the chimera was an omen of storms and natural disasters.
