Color of the day: Rose
Incense of the day: Ylang-ylang Today marks the Egyptian Feast of the Cosmic Twins. Sometimes when romance does not turn out as we hoped, it is better to cut our losses and move on-though this is often much easier said than done. In some cases, we need ritual to remind us it is over. To heal a broken heart, get a black candle. Add dried flowers and a picture of your past love. Cut the picture in four sections. Lay pieces atop the dried flowers. Scratch your lover's name on the side of the candle. Light it, and say: You no longer live in me. Alas, our love has died. Mine as much as yours. I hear your voice no more. I see you not in dreams. You were not the answer to my prayers. I pray much wiser now. No knot of love still binds us. In crowds they will not find us. Goodbye, lost love, You may be good for someone. But you are not good for me. So mote it be. Let candle burn down until the name is entirely melted. Throw the picture and flowers out the next day. |
