LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Crafting by Hand Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Blue
Incense of the day: Pine

Today is the birthday of the goddess Minerva. Although Minerva was a warrior goddess, she also governed poetry, music, and crafts. Ovid called her the "goddess of a thousand works." Writing a poem, making music, or beading a necklace are ways to give form to ideas. Make your altar beautiful today with symbols of your own handiwork. If you are new to the joy and deep satisfaction that comes from crafting, just do what feels natural. There are no expectations before the goddess. Decorate your altar with materials for a project of your choosing or with sheet music from a musical instrument you've decided to take up. Light an olive candle and wish the goddess happy birthday. For at least an hour, work your craft in a sacred space.
