Incense of the day: Ginger The power of a July thunderstorm is one of the great spectacles of nature. A thunderstorm can be used to charge our strength and courage, and it's a wonderful time to work a spell for courage. In a small bowl, or with a mortar and pestle, crush together these courage-attracting herbs: one teaspoon each of dry black tea leaves, golden yarrow, and dried borage leaves. As you pulverize them, visualize yourself crushing your fears and obstacles, and say: "Tea, yarrow, and borage draw to me strength and courage." When it's safe to go outdoors, take your herb mixture. Facing south, say: "Let the thunder roll, let the lightning strike, let the sky turn black as night. Let all my fears take flight." After speaking this charm, hold the dry herbs in your hand and blow them toward the south. See your fears vanishing; you can do anything now. |
