Color of the day: Turquoise
Incense of the day: Apricot Today is Hank Aaron's birthday (b. 1934), baseball's home run king, who believes baseball is not about breaking records but about playing the game. To work a spell to stay joyfully in the moment and bring a project all the way home, gather together some soil for steadfast grounding, a small lavender candle, a piece of hard candy in your favorite flavor, some sandalwood incense for concentration and success, a fireproof bowl, a small piece of paper, and a pen. Light the candle and the incense and chant, "Pleasant and joyful is my day, keep my attention all the way." Breathe deeply and write your goal on the slip of paper and burn it in the bowl, lighting it from the candle. As the paper burns away, eat the candy and let it slowly melt in your mouth while concentrating on staying in the moment and the sweetness of success. Bury the ashes in the soil. Let the candle burn all the way down and place the remains in the soil. When your project is done, return the soil to the outdoors, thanking the Spirit for it all. |
