Spell: Combat Depression and Stagnation

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

If you've been feeling particularly depressed or unmotivated lately - and you're not alone after the holiday season - it's a good idea to practively combat this stagnant energy.
A magical root that has long withstood the test of time (and the workings of numerous hoodooists, Witches, and magicians!) is High John the Conqueror. Legend has it that a slave named John was so skilled in manipulation and persuasion that he never became submissive as a slave. Instead, he outwitted and conquered every threatening situation around him. As a result, the root given his name is said to hold an unbeatable amount of potency and magical power. Procure a full, unbroken High John root. Size is unimportant as long as the root's circular form is intact. Empower the root by anointing it with a pleasant essential oil (like frankincense or lavendar), and by loudly chanting your wishes into it over and over (such as "Freedom! Happiness! Success!). Carry the root in your pocket until it gets lost on its own. Recharge the root as frequently as you'd like! There truly is no other energy medicine like High John the Conqueror root.
