| If you ride a bicycle for pleasure or exercise, try this bicycle blessing.
Take a bowl of water, a little salt and a stick of incense. Stand next to the bike, face east, and cast a circle. Take the water, and say: Blessings on you, element of water. Then, take a pinch of salt, toss it in the water, and say: Blessings on you, element of Earth, That together you will purify the world. Walk around the bike clockwise, sprinkling the water, and say: Goddess, protect this bicycle, may it always be safe, and carry me seiftly where I wish to go. So mote it be! Then light the incense, walk around the bike and say: Goddess, protect this bicycle, may it always be visible to other vehicles, and invisible to thieves. So Mote It Be. Then close the circle. |
