We all have a fear we'd like to conquer, be it large or small.
To begin to overcome your fear, draw it, write it, or sketch a symbol of it. This is a burning ritual, so you'll need a safe container; this is best done outdoors. Consider this fear. Why do you have it? You may or may not know, but try to be honest. Imagine yourself in a situation but acting without the fear. As you visualize, burn the paper. See yourself as confident and brave. For example, if your fear is public speaking, imagine yourself in front of a large group of people giving a fantastic speech and you're completely calm and in control. Release the ashes of the paper to the wind - or bury them. Release your fear. Hold the positive image with you each time you feel the fear. As the paper burns, chant: "Fire, take this fear of mine; I can conquer it this time. Learn to overcome alarm- Release me from this fear of harm." |
