| Prepare a ritual bath with oil of myrrh and sandalwood and whilst bathing, meditate on the coming year and announce to the Universe that you wish to reveal what's coming for you over the next twelve months. Dry off and anoint yourself at the chakras with oil of frankincense, finishing at the crown.
Prepare your reading space with a purple candle consecrated with oil of jasmine to a deity of your choice, stating your purpose. Have a notebook and pen ready; burn mugwort, dragonsblood, and sandalwood. Occasionally, throw more incense on the coals during the reading. Shuffle your cards. Lay out 12 cards in a clockwise circle, and place the 13th card in the middle to denote the general atmosphere of the year. Interpret the first card for the September 1, and so on. Read the middle card last. Record your impressions. After you finish the reading, clean up and thank the deity. |
