Mudras are yoga for your hands, tiny gestures that you can make anywhere if you need some metaphysical support. The acceptance mudra teaches how to go with the flow. It improves your connection to the universe. When you try too hard, nothing goes right. When you relax into the flow of things, they change naturally and gracefully as needed. This mudra also helps you make appropriate food choices and improves your digestion.
First, curl your index finger down against the base of itself and the thumb. Touch your thumb to the side of the pinky fingernail. Leave the other two fingers extended. The matching mantra is Om Rum Namaha. Hold this position while you meditate on accepting what happens in your life. If you're doing this at home, allow ten to twenty minutes for meditation. Outside, this is an excellent mudra to hold while waiting in line at a restaurant. |
