Chronic stress can be damaging to the body, but unfortunately many of us have highly stressful lives. A quick method of grounding stressful energy is to use a meditation such as the following.
Close your eyes and imagine a pillar of white light shining down upon you, the energy going through you and down deep into the earth. Focus on your breath. As you breathe in, more of the light pours down on you, and when you breathe out, the energy moves through you, carrying any tension, stress, or discomfort out of you and down into the earth to be recycled. After a few minutes, when you feel better, allow the energy to cease, with the intention of keeping only what you need and releasing the rest into the earth. Open your eyes. Since this meditation is quick, it can be repeated often as needed. |
