Spell: Spring-Clean Your Altar

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Many people do some form of spring cleaning as the days begin to grow longer. You might have done so around the time of the spring equinox. But did you clean and cleanse your altar? If you have an altar, it is the spiritual center of your home, so you want to make sure you keep it neat and clean and occasionally clear the energy that surrounds it.

Start by doing physical cleaning. Dust anything sitting on the altar, maybe rearranging or adding things if it no longer feels quite right. Then take some incense (citrus or rosemary is good ) or a sage smudge stick and waft the smoke around the altar to clear away any lingering negativity or stagnant energy from the winter. Sprinkle a bit of salt and water and say:

"This altar is cleared and cleansed
for another season of positive
magical work. So mote it be."
