Night of nights
with magic at every turn,
Everywhere pumpkins
glow and candles burn.

The veil is thin,
Giving access to powers deep within.
Spirits roam and take flight,
Seeking solace on this night.

The year is ending,
the wheel does turn and creak;
Moments between time give mortals a tiny peek
Into the realms of those who have gone before.

Ancient spirits appear in the woods and at the door.
We leave food at crossroads to feed those who wander.
Searching for contact or a place of rest here or yonder.

Honor the dead, and the living, too,
Samhain spirits depend on you.
Place the pumpkin for all to see.
Invite all to feast, and blessed be.
