I drive less in the winter because of the hazards of the road. But with spring now fully in blossom and the snow finally gone, it’s time to start journeying again.

Before you travel, take time to bless your vehicle, bless the journey, and bless the inhabitants of your vehicle. Whether the vehicle is a car, truck, motorcycle, boat, canoe, kayak, or bicycle, use this blessing before departing.

Lay your hands upon the vehicle and say:

I bless this vessel with love and light,
That she may carry us
to our desired site;
That her journey be safe,
sound, and swift,
And divine providence be our gift.
I petition the Goddess to
protect this space.
May all who ride here be held in grace.

This is not just a seasonal spell. With practice, it can become second nature. Each time you get behind the wheel, pause and intone the first two lines.
