Sometimes insomnia can make us crazy as we lie awake at night, worrying or thinking. A lack of sleep can negatively impact our physical, mental, and emotional health. What if you had a magic spell that helped you fall asleep when you wanted to? This magical technique can both provoke and invoke sleep when you want or need it, whether you wish to get to sleep at night, go back to sleep after waking, or nap in the afternoon. Lie down and close your eyes. Place your hands on your thighs, palms down. Begin to gently tap your fingers against your thighs for about three minutes, and become aware of your breathing. Breathe deep into your belly, and as you exhale, release all tension. Gradually slow down the tapping, and keep breathing. Notice how your breath slows, your body relaxes, and your mind quiets. Before you know it, you will be asleep. Magically. |
