POSTED UNDER Earth, Water

Spell: Altar Purification

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

If you enjoy burning incense at your altar, you’ll be familiar with the pile of ashes that always accumulates. Think of how long those ashes have been sitting in your magical space and the energy that has gathered in them over the days or weeks. During that time they’ve absorbed feelings and experiences, which you don’t necessarily need anymore, especially if you’ve worked through a problem. While tidying your altar, include the ashes in this cleansing spell. You will need some ashes from incense, a glass of water, and a spoon.

After tidying your altar, put the ashes in the glass of water. Using the spoon, stir the water to create a swirling motion. Say:

This cleansing water washes away the
lingering energy of the past. I move
forward clearly and with focus.

Go outside and pour the water and ashes onto the earth.
