Light a candle and place it in the center of a darkened room. Sit or stand with the candle behind you. Watch how a small movement has a large effect on your shadow. Give the shadow shape a name of some trait in yourself that you don't like. Welcome that shadow and play with it. Change the name slightly so it becomes a quality you want in your life. For example, if the shadow is at first arrogance, the new shadow name can be confidence. Then turn and face the candle, realizing that the shadows on the wall are the projections of the shadows within yourself, and, with a little change, they can be qualities that you want in your life. |
