Spell: Tanabata Day Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Yellow
Incense of the day: Cedar

In Japan and Korea, people celebrate Tanabata today. Legend tells of two lovers, represented by stars in the sky: a shepherd boy (Vega) and a weaver girl (Aquila). Today, lovers still write each others' names on paper and hang them under the stars. Stars represent hope, our highest aspirations for self and others. Study the names of stars, their history, the constellations, and the accompanying legends from different cultures like Japan and Korea. Go stargazing with your significant other tonight, or visit a planetarium together. Share your dreams of the future. Not partnered yet? Go anyway! Maybe you'll meet someone else out looking at the stars.
